Very logical on its structure and plays at a reasonable pace. A great clear visual aid to show to the novices the overall big picture. It effectively puts them on the roof of the swimming pool looking down and making out that there is logic in amongst all the splashing around at the surface.
Shape
Flex

Summary
.....All make a simple grasp of what actually is a hugely large and important part of the team structured game.
A good training aid for those that teach and those that want to learn to play the game.
I think it is also a great effort and will work for those armchair spectators that may develop an interest now the chaos is being made clear by efforts like these animations.
This site is a really good concept site anyway, and this adds another good concept
............also had a prob when first loading the webpage (went all dark and perculiar messages about an 'IO plugin' something or other)... only first time... now it works fine.

Its very simple, yet gives an image of the teamgame play which should be very beneficial to the new players indeed.
It also gives a starting point for a two way conversation / discussion at the pool. When people have watched this they arrive at pool and can talk in common as they have the same pics in their head.
Very simple
Very logical
Very methodical
Very efficient key points... shape, flexing, linking
..... Great teaching tool. for underwater hockey newbies.

Rubbish!
Not Really!
xx
At first I couldn't get the webpage up, but it works fine each time after the first load.
At first I thought the animation was too little new info over too long a time, but then I tuned into the fact it was designed for newbies and not seasoned players - with this in mind, I write to inform that.....
Great idea and is clear and crisp on just three points, but three points that actually teach a huge % of what makes the whole team and the whole game work.

Am sure will make the grasp of the overall game a lot clearer, a lot quicker, for anyone who is yet unfamiliar.

Nice and visual puckoff! Feels like Spring time already. x
Just a point about the shape (in the animation) of 3/3. It was understandable to choose one shape to do the demo about spacial awareness, flexing and linking up of players. I thought it extra to mention that there are other shapes as well:
2/2/2 two forwards, two mids, two backs
2/3/1 two forwards, three mids, one back
There is also a shape Ive heard called 'sloppy seven', but I wonder if it is actually the 3/3 shape, flexed as in the animation, with the back line angled.
When in a team, always be aware or ask what formation is agreed upon for that game session. At club level, it will probably be a consensus (or, if unluck - the loudest egoed player in the pool) that chooses. At comp level, it will almost certainly be the coach and captain.
For newbies - make sure you enquire what is (if atall) chosen.
Anyway just to mention these as the mindseye lecture is great to spark off discussion and info dissemination from the info within itself and the 'more info' after seeing it, that can be gleened (if that makes sence?!)

Armchair Dry People!!!
Good idea. Not seen this anywhere yet and is a way of showing armchair dry people a bit of how the game is played out by the otherwise unseen (to a spectator) players.
Very simple.... but a good start. Will inspire more to follow suit I',m sure.
Good Effort

NEW NEW NEW... yes!
yes i noticed that as well - they are 2min30secs instead of 4ish and they are flv movies as well. This adaptation makes them a punchy little education tool that'll keep concentration
if they are going too fast, you can always pause and rewind/replay etc
the video page looks neat as well. great evolution. good effort
